The FL-2C100 is a panel-mount current shunt resistor designed for accurate measurement of low to medium load currents in metering, monitoring, and protection applications. This variant covers the 10A to 100A current range, making it particularly suited to single-phase and three-phase circuits found in light commercial installations, sub-distribution boards, and branch circuit monitoring systems. As with the full FL-2C100 range, the resistive element is manufactured from 6J13 manganese copper alloy, a material chosen for its inherently low and stable temperature coefficient of resistance, specified at 0 to +40ppm/°C. This ensures that the voltage drop across the shunt terminals faithfully represents the current under measurement throughout the operating temperature range of -40°C to +60°C, with no need for external thermal compensation.

All variants in the 10A to 100A range produce a standardised 75mV output at rated current, maintaining full compatibility with conventional panel meters, energy analysers, and data acquisition inputs without additional signal conditioning. Accuracy is specified at ±0.5%, with a tighter ±0.25% grade available to order for applications with more demanding measurement uncertainty requirements. Temperature rise at rated current is controlled to a maximum of 120K above ambient, and the thermoelectric potential is held within 50% of the applicable accuracy class limit, keeping parasitic thermoelectric contributions from degrading measurement quality in mixed-metal terminal assemblies.
