The FL-2C750 is a panel-mount current shunt resistor designed for accurate, high-current measurement across a wide range of industrial metering and power monitoring applications. The resistive element is manufactured from 6J13 manganese copper alloy, a material selected for its low and stable temperature coefficient of resistance, which is specified at 0 to +40ppm/°C. This controlled thermal behaviour ensures that the voltage developed across the shunt terminals accurately reflects load current across the full operating temperature range of -40°C to +60°C, without the need for external compensation. The copper connection block provides a low-resistance current path and efficient heat dissipation, while the surface finish — a combination of pickling passivation and sandblasting — protects against oxidation and ensures long-term contact integrity in panel environments.

The FL-2C750 covers a rated current range from 10A to 750A, with all variants producing a standardised 75mV voltage drop at rated current. This standardised output is compatible with the input range of conventional analogue and digital panel meters, energy analysers, and data acquisition systems without the need for additional signal conditioning hardware. Accuracy is specified at ±0.5%, with a ±0.25% grade available to order for applications requiring tighter measurement uncertainty. Temperature rise at rated current is limited to 120K above ambient, and the thermoelectric potential is controlled to remain within 50% of the applicable accuracy class index, minimising the contribution of parasitic thermoelectric voltages to measurement error.

The FL-2C750 is a patented design, with multiple registered utility and design patents covering its construction and geometry. The high-temperature flame-retardant insulation housing provides both electrical isolation and mechanical protection, enabling direct panel mounting in metering cubicles and distribution boards. The range of current ratings — spanning more than two decades from 10A to 750A — allows the same proven design to be applied across single-phase and three-phase metering installations, from small commercial load centres through to large industrial switchgear panels, without redesign of the surrounding metering circuit.
