The RLB is a high-power resistive load bank engineered to order by RARA Electronics, designed to simulate controlled electrical loads on generators and power sources during testing, commissioning, and maintenance operations. Unlike standard component resistors, each RLB unit is a customer-designed assembly built to the project specification, scaled from 50 kW up to 3000 kW to match the precise requirements of the target power system. This capability makes the RLB series suitable for utility-scale generator verification, large UPS acceptance testing, and industrial power system commissioning where connecting the actual facility load is impractical or unsafe.
The resistance range spans 0.1Ω to 1MΩ, with tolerance options of ±5% and ±10% and a maximum temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of 800 ppm/°C.
