What are the GBR-619 Series Thick Film Heating Elements?
The GBR-619 series are thick film heating elements fabricated on a 96% alumina (Al₂O₃) ceramic substrate, engineered specifically for applications that require uniform power dissipation distributed across an oblong heating surface. While other elements in the GBR family are optimised for compact point-source or square-format heating, the GBR-619 is shaped to spread heat evenly along its elongated footprint, making it well suited to heating tasks where a rectangular or strip-format heat source is needed to cover an extended surface, warm a elongated component, or maintain temperature uniformity across a narrow but lengthy contact area.
The GBR-619 supports rated continuous power from 10W to 100W on a heatsink, spanning a wider output range than several other elements in the GBR series and making it applicable to both moderate and relatively high-power heating duties within a single product family. Supply voltage compatibility extends from 12V DC through to 230V AC, with a comprehensive set of standard catalogue configurations covering three voltage levels and multiple power ratings. At 12V and 24V DC, standard ratings of 20W, 40W, and 60W are available, addressing automotive, industrial, and embedded system supply rails. At 230V AC, the catalogue extends further to include 80W and 100W ratings in addition to the lower-power options, reflecting the higher dissipation headroom available at mains voltage. Additional voltage and power combinations are available on request for designs with specific supply or thermal requirements.
The power tolerance of ±10% and a temperature coefficient of resistance of ±100 ppm/°C are consistent with a general-purpose heating element intended for applications where thermal distribution uniformity is the primary performance criterion rather than power accuracy. The maximum permissible element temperature is 300°C. Electrical connection is made through solder and contact fields on the element surface, supporting direct wire attachment or spring-contact integration. In addition to their principal use as surface heating elements, the GBR-619 series can function as high-power resistors in circuits where an oblong, heatsinkable dissipation element with a known resistance value is required.

Why Choose RARA Resistive Heaters
What sets RARA apart for engineers and procurement managers in industrial and automotive markets.
01
Three Technologies
Metal clad space heaters, PTC self-regulating elements, and thick film heaters — RARA covers every industrial heating requirement from a single ISO-certified supplier.
02
Wide Voltage Range
From 3V DC low-voltage PCB warmers to 240V AC panel space heaters — the GBR series and RSHT/RSH range cover virtually any supply voltage in industrial or building systems.
03
PTC Self-Regulation
PTC models (YB, GBR-603) are inherently self-limiting — no thermostat or controller required. As temperature rises, power draw automatically decreases, preventing overheating by design.
04
Global Track Record
Deployed by Siemens, Schneider Electric, Rockwell, and Hanwha in industrial panels and power systems across six continents — backed by ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certification.
