What are the RSHT/RSH Series Space Heaters?


The RSHT and RSH series are AC-powered resistive space heaters designed to prevent condensation and maintain minimum ambient temperatures inside electrical enclosures, switchgear cabinets, control panels, and similar enclosed equipment. The heaters operate directly from mains voltages in the range of AC 110V to AC 240V at frequencies of 50Hz or 60Hz, making them suitable for deployment across a wide range of international power infrastructure without additional voltage conversion.

The resistive element is housed in a compact aluminium tube that provides both structural support and a degree of convective heat distribution. Mounting is achieved via a burring tab arrangement, with M4 fixings on the RSHT50 through RSHT200 and RSH50 through RSH200 models, and M5 fixings on the larger RSH300 through RSH500 models. The two series differ in their termination method: the RSHT variants are fitted with a terminal block for in-cabinet wiring, while the RSH variants are supplied with pre-attached lead wires for direct connection. Both variants share the same resistive element and thermal performance for equivalent power ratings.

Power ratings span 50W to 200W for the RSHT series and 50W to 500W for the RSH series. Within each rating, the resistance value is selected to produce the rated dissipation at the nominal supply voltage, with tolerance of ±10% accommodating supply variation and component spread. The CE-certified variants carry a unified 220V to 240V voltage marking and are verified to comply with applicable European directives; non-CE variants are marked for the specific nominal voltage for which they are rated. All models are manufactured in compliance with RoHS requirements, restricting the use of hazardous substances in line with current environmental legislation.
